Granny Is Here!

Some call her Granny, others call her Grammy, I call her Grandma. She's my little Grandma! She arrived Monday and we've been having so much fun! Tuesday morning we hit the fabric store and gathered items for projects. Tuesday night we were able to get away and visit the temple. What a wonderful evening that was!
Yesterday we pulled out a quilt I was working on and began tying.
Charles helped us to get the frame set up.

The kids thought it was fun to hang out under the quilt.

This is a Christmas present for my MIL.

I started it during summer. I have many projects going for Christmas presents. I only wish I could show them but then the surprise would be spoiled!
Here's Tina ready to make homemade tortillas.

Well we had a very nice Thanksgiving. The food was great! The company was better! I'm so grateful for my family, the love we share and the support we give each other.
I hope you enjoyed your day with loved ones!
Gotta love those! She loves to help bake. She even helped with the rolls and pies.

Match 1

This past week Kenny had his first wrestling match/tournament. Luckily, Hubby had the day off and went to support him. He also took the pics, hence the blurriness.

He had 3 matches. The first I'm told ended in 20 seconds. He was pinned.
The second one he had to wrestle his own teammate and took him out of the tournament! The 3rd match he was pinned pretty quickly also. Not bad for his first match! He has plenty more matches to improve.
I think he's really liking this new sport! I'm so proud of him for working so hard and trying something new.
I'll be able to make his next match and hopefully get better pictures.

New Moon Craziness!

So we (crazy, love-struck WOMEN) have been waiting and waiting for the new Twilight movie New Moon to come out and it's finally here! In preparation, the night before Sam and I decided to try and make our own shirts for the movie. We found some iron-ons, picked up some shirts and got to work. Here's Sam working hard on our shirts.

And here's me enjoying a cookie!

Okay the shirts are done! Off to the movies!

Our movie time was for 10am. Sam arrived at the theatre a little after 8am and myself shortly after. We wanted to make sure we were first in line so we could pick out our seats. Here we (Ashley, Sam, Davina and me) all are waiting in line.

Look at me in my homemade shirt all giddy!

Sam and I in our shirts! I love what Sam's shirt says!

Here is my friends daughter Bridgette and her friend who skipped school to watch the movie!

Here we are saving a whole row of seats.

Yes, we used up that whole row.

The movie was amazing and I can't wait for the next one, which comes out in June!!
P.S. I'll be going 2 more times!!

Catching Up Is Hard To Do!

I've just been so busy and trying to not stress myself out lately that I haven't made anytime to blog. Well here goes...we'll see what I can get posted today.
For Kenny's birthday he chose to go have sushi. Our favorite thing! We took the whole family (Hubby's side) to a sushi bar.

The kids just recently went with their Grandparents and experierenced the whole thing. Of course at their age, endless food is GREAT!
You sit at a bar table with boats of sushi floating. As you see something you like you grab it.

Of course the boys were trying to out do everyone. Imagine this stack but two times taller!

Everything was so yummy! I didn't take too many pics because the flash was annoying others. This was a great night!

Yes, I know I've lacked on blogging lately but hopefully this weekend I will be able to catch up.
Right now, I must go get ready! Pics to follow!

Halloween Time!

Okay so here are the photos from Halloween. We had a blast! We always go over to Oba's house and show off their costumes. Kenny was a teen clown (think he's getting to old), Mateo a sumo wrestler and Tina was snow white.

Here's our pretty princess!

Christina had to take a picture with her buddy Jayden.

This year we had Uncle John,
his girlfriend Marci, her daughter Katie, Steve
(other Steve) and his son Jayden tag along.

These girls were attached to Ken all night. The scary mask didn't even scare them off.

Oh here's the last pic of the night. Grandpa trying on Kenny's costume. Silly old man!

Friday Into Saturday

Okay just try to keep up! (Sorry for all the photos)
I'll begin with Friday. My little girl surprises me everyday with her sweetness, kindness and uniqueness (is that even a word)! Well most days she wants to pick out her own outfit and sometimes she'll let me have a say. She's so funny with how she picks out something like a bow, belt, necklace to go with her "fit". This day I just had to take some pics because she has her own style. Exhibit A

I think she got this from me, one day her pants were too long and I rolled them up. Now she thinks it's the "in thing"!

Friday night Hubby had a game so we all headed out. The kids usually bring their skateboards, scooters and balls to keep them occupied. Mateo got a little excited and broke Tina's scooter. So Dad took her out and got her a brand new princess scooter. She was so excited and forgot all about her broken one.

On to Saturday. I spent the morning at the temple with both of my boys for the first time. It was an amazing morning to see them together doing service for others. I was so happy to be there and have that special moment with them.

We went with a large group of 24 kids and 14 adults (90 stake). We were able (as a stake) to do work for over 1000 names. How wonderful!

Let's Start With...

We had a busy end of the week and weekend, so let's get started. I'll start with Thursday night. We finally got our pumpkins carved and just in time for Halloween.
Here's Kenny and Mateo doing their own pumpkins this year. Now this is a first for many reasons for Kenny. He can't stand the smell of pumpkins, yet he participated and carved his own. Go Kenny!

Christina kept telling her Dad she could do it all by herself!

Here's Angelyka with her Dad, designing her pumpkin.
End product; Mateo's and Angelyka's

Uncle Steve, Kenny and Chrisitna's

So happy those got done!
